About the program
A highly thought-provoking workshop on Tackling Diffcult Conversations in the Workplace.
How It Works
This workshop is designed to provide participants with the confidence to navigate difficult conversations in their workplaces. Participants will be guided through an understanding of the different kinds of workplace issues which may lead to the need for a challenging conversation.
They will develop an awareness of the benefits of initiating difficult discussions and will also become aware of the potentially negative consequences of avoiding difficult conversations in terms impact on organisational culture and employee morale.
Using Donna Hicks’ Dignity Framework as a guide, participants will develop an appreciation for the way the deliberate and conscious upholding of dignity for all participants in difficult conversations can assist in the success of outcomes related to difficult conversations in the workplace.
Participants are provided with a step-by-step framework for effective preparation before a difficult conversation in the workplace, coupled with guiding steps and principles to follow during such conversations.
Participants will develop a knowledge and understanding of:
- The kinds of issues which may lead to the need for a difficult conversation
- The benefits of engaging in a difficult conversation
- Strategies and a framework for managing and tackling a difficult conversation
- The reason why people may instinctively avoid a difficult conversation
Learning outcomes
Group discussions related to real workplace scenarios, coupled with opportunities for role play, enable participants to develop confidence and competence with the use of this framework and with the management of difficult conversations.

About the program
An alternative Olympiad providing sport for all. A celebration of indigenous games from all corners of the world.
How It Works
The group divides into two opposing tribes and numerous sub-teams within each. First, team create their own bespoke tribal regalia. Dressed to impress, each team then rotates through a circuit of ‘quests’, competing head to head with teams from the opposing tribe. Points accumulated by the teams contribute to their tribe’s total score. In the closing ceremony teams face-off for a Haka showdown. The team with the highest points is declared the winner!

Participants are introduced to unusual traditional sports in a way that encourages participation, inclusion and mutual respect. Designed to set the pulse racing, this healthy experience develops team dynamics while having fun!
Strategy is key to success as the rules enable teams to play to their strengths, resting chosen players during some challenges in order to reserve strength for their preferred quests.
