A recent graduate of an Events Management degree, Georgia relished her contributions in the Not for Profit sector as part of this study. Specifically, she valued her experience with Peace of Mind Foundation, in the creation of a virtual fundraising event which raised funds for brain cancer patients and their carers. Georgia also worked with Glebe Youth Service to support disadvantaged youth in Glebe. Part of a team of students, Georgia created a revenue diversification plan for GYS, providing them with ways to raise funds through multiple different avenues integrating their needs and values.
Georgia has had valuable experience in the hospitality sector over the past 7 years, particularly in relation to the management of cross functional teams.
These experiences have given Georgia a strong sense of the capacity of teams to achieve extraordinary things. After just a few days with Be Challenged, Georgia has commented on how her work at Be Challenged enables her to be part of something which is enriching and enhancing to others, and which is therefore very rewarding.
