Helping Hands
About The Program
Your teams construct prosthetic hands for those in need. Allowed to only use one hand, this program evokes empathy for one another.
The Helping Hands staff guide your group through constructing prosthetic hands destined to change the lives of landmine victims worldwide. Participants are divided into small teams, with each person limited to using only one hand, simulating the challenges faced by amputees. Throughout the workshop, video content and presentations provide insights into the beneficiaries’ lives, deepening the understanding of the hands’ impact.
Your group experiences a transformative experience in empathy and giving, featuring an immersive activity where you create real prosthetics.
Teams gets a new perspective on the personal and professional challenges that amputees face, but also with the knowledge that their efforts have a real-world impact, enhancing their sense of purpose. The experience strengthens team bonds and encourages open communication, promoting a supportive workplace culture.
