As the Chief Executive Officer for Be Challenged, Lisa Kelliher has had a career firmly embedded in learning and development, cultural enhancement, educational design and team development.

As the Chief Executive Officer for Be Challenged, Lisa Kelliher has had a career firmly embedded in learning and development, cultural enhancement, educational design and team development.

Her master’s degree in arts and education, coupled with rich career experiences across a range of non-government Independent schools, led to varied leadership opportunities, where she specialised in the development of professional development for the staff, students, and parents of these organisations.

Prior to her appointment as CEO at Be Challenged, Lisa was the Head of People and culture, Head of Business Support and an in-house Educational Consultant.

This, coupled with her experience in Registration and Accreditation for the New South Wales
Education Standards Authority has engendered within Lisa a great passion for the development of learning and development opportunities which enhance the synergy of teams while prioritising the well-being of employees. Lisa’s experience at NESA honed her awareness of designing professional development opportunities for organisations which uphold key compliance responsibilities, and which serve to empower employees in these vital areas.
An accomplished speaker and presenter, Lisa relishes the opportunity to deliver workshops and programs to clients from a range of sectors. Her passion for the development of soft skills for students comes from a motivation to ensure education resonates well beyond the classroom. Lisa’s commitment to the morale and well-being of teachers, drives the creation and delivering of bespoke programs for this sector. Her commitment to supporting optimal Graduate experiences enhanced through her participation in the Australian Association of Graduate Employers Advisory Group.

Oliver Sheer

In 2011, Oliver Sheer and business partner, Kingsley Seale, purchased Be Challenged. They identified that the majority of organisations were ignoring their most important resource- their people.

Oliver Sheer is the Strategic Director and Co-Founder of Be Challenged, a leading experiential team-building and team-development company in Australia. Over more than a decade, he has been instrumental in growing Be Challenged into a trusted partner for organisations across corporate, education, and government sectors.

With bachelor’s degrees in Sport and Exercise Management and Business, and multiple team training and development certifications, Oliver brings both theoretical knowledge and practical expertise to the design of engaging and developing high performing teams. His leadership has shaped a portfolio of programs that push individuals and groups beyond conventional boundaries—cultivating collaboration, resilience, and strategic thinking.

Oliver specialises in helping teams challenge norms, unlock innovation, and build cohesion. From graduate development to large-scale business simulations, he ensures every program delivers measurable outcomes that inspire people to perform at their best.

As Strategic Director, Oliver continues to drive Be Challenged’s vision of inspiring greatness through team development, combining creativity, strategy, and a deep understanding of what makes teams thrive.

Simon Piltz

Simon was the first full time QLD employee, setting up the QLD office with the aim to grow and develop Be Challenged’s presence in the Sunshine State.

Simon was the first full time QLD employee, setting up the QLD office with the aim to grow and develop Be Challenged’s presence in the Sunshine State. Simon is now our National Head of Sales and has seen the QLD office grow from 1 to now 9 full time team members.

Simon had an extensive and successful sporting upbringing which taught him the value of team work from an early age. Simon further explored his sporting passion with an Advanced Diploma in Sports Management while also running his own Personal Training business. From this experience Simon began to see the need and clear benefits of hands-on, interactive and stimulating team programs in the workplace. After 4 years of managing a team building company Simon was hooked and was passionate about getting this important team engagement message out to corporate Australia. To do this he wanted to be working with the leading team building company in Australia, a company with a global network and a clear vision of growth - enter Be Challenged.

Since Simon has joined the Be Challenged team he has developed extremely strong, long-term relationships with not only clients but also venues and suppliers all over QLD. He loves a chat and enjoys nothing better than listening to his clients to learn what they are currently doing in the workplace, finding out if their team is functioning effectively and understanding what barriers exist to prevent full team cohesion and success. Simon wants to take the team development of his clients to the next level-ensuring effective, fun and cohesive workplaces all over Australia

Like most of the Be Challenged team, Simon loves the outdoors. Off-duty you will most likely find him on the beach in his boardies with his gorgeous little family or sneaking in a quick session at the gym.

Norman Pounder

Norm is one of Be Challenged’s most experienced Event Directors with over 20 years of corporate experience in facilitation, leadership and team development training and career development coaching.

Norm is one of Be Challenged’s most experienced Event Directors with over 20 years corporate experience in facilitation, leadership and team development training and career development coaching. Norm has worked across a wide range of industries and brings detailed knowledge from areas such as: Professional Services, Financial Services, Consumer Goods and Government.

A strong believer in experiential education, Norm works hard to ensure every client achieves their team objectives and participants walk away with valuable learnings on the power of effective team work and leadership. A highly regarded and requested facilitator, Norm has the ability of developing trust and rapport with teams quickly while laying a platform for honest and reflective conversations that bring out the best in people.

Norm also dedicates a lot of this personal time to giving back to the community and has held various volunteer roles within Surf Life Saving Australia, including Vice President, surf sports official, patrol captain, honorary beach inspector, surf boat advisory panel, Surf Boat Captain and Touring Team Manager to name a few.

It’s not all work though, Norm is a keen Surf Boat Rower and has had success in World Championships as well as multiple National, State and Local Championships. Norm’s aim in life is to be 100% engaged, fulfilled and enjoy all aspects of life - both work and play.

Vanessa Kelava

Vanessa joined the Be Challenged team in January 2016 as the first full-time QLD Event Manager. Coming on board, Vanessa brought extensive event and hospitality experience, as well as exceptional customer service skills, to the Queensland office.

Vanessa joined the Be Challenged team in January 2016 as the first full-time QLD Event Manager. Coming on board, Vanessa brought extensive event and hospitality experience, as well as exceptional customer service skills, to the Queensland office.

Vanessa is passionate about building trust and establishing rapport with her clients. From initial client meetings to the completion of an event, her goal is to ensure each detail has been taken care of and that the process is stress free and fun. Vanessa loves the energising buzz of interacting with all Be Challenged team members and is acutely aware of the impact workplace culture has on team effectiveness and staff personal growth. She is committed to bringing this commitment, energy and positivity to every Be Challenged event.

Flexible and adaptive in her approach, Vanessa is adept at ensuring delivery of Be Challenged programs is bespoke to the needs of the client. She thrives on a brief which poses a challenge and calls for some creativity! Whether facilitating a 900 pax “Orchestrate” program or a Flat Out Afloat program on Hamilton Island, Vanessa is capable of energising participants to challenge themselves, and be reminded of their personal strengths while having fun.

When she isn’t immersed in her role as Head of Events at Be Challenged, Vanessa loves the beach and outdoor activities. She is a keen scuba diver and loves hiking, spending time with her friends, family and her puppy.

Since joining Be Challenged in 2019, Ben has developed strong, long-term relationships with both his clients and Be Challenged’s Victorian-based venues.

When Ben is not working with clients to develop their team building initiatives, you will find him on the turntables as a DJ at local festivals or spending quality time with his family.

With a background in team leadership combined with an event management qualification, Elise is a superstar in her role as Be Challenged’s Program Consultant out of our Melbourne office.

With a background in team leadership combined with an event management qualification, Elise is a superstar in her role as Be Challenged’s Program Consultant out of our Melbourne office.

Results driven, dedicated, and hardworking, Elise is responsible for supporting the events team in ensuring our team building programs execute flawlessly and deliver on client expectations, messaging, and key outcomes.

When she is not work on Be Challenged events, Elise enjoys spending time with her cat 'Skittles' and binge watching TV shows. She is also a fan of exploring new cuisines and trying new restaurants around Melbourne.

Sue Potts

Sue Potts

Sue is the numbers whizz at Be Challenged, making sure everybody gets paid on time and that all finances are in order.

Sue is the numbers whizz at Be Challenged, making sure everybody gets paid on time and that all finances are in order. Sue is a qualified and experienced Accountant/Bookkeeper with over 30 years’ experience in Office Management, Accounts Receivable, Credit Management, Accounts Payable, Payroll and Bookkeeping (no you can’t have her!). Sue’s last role was with Advisian (formerly Evans & Peck) where she worked in a variety of finance roles for 17 years, including supporting the business during a takeover in 2009.

Sue is results driven with a strong work ethic and attention to detail but also enjoys a laugh. She was looking to join a dynamic team environment in a fun business that was growing fast- Be Challenged was the perfect fit.

Outside of work Sue enjoys going to the gym as well as catching up with friends and family over long leisurely lunches around different parts of Sydney (justified by the gym visits). She is happy if her weekends include music, movies and reading a good book- sounds like heaven!

For the past 12 months, Kate has been thriving in her role as People & Culture Manager, where she draws on her deep understanding of team dynamics, customer service excellence, and operational insight to foster a supportive, values‑driven, and high‑performing workplace. She is dedicated to supporting employees across the business, strengthening organisational culture, and ensuring both internal and external stakeholders receive exceptional care and communication.

Dedicated, hardworking, and always striving to achieve her goals, Renee plays a key role in supporting the Team Development Consultants and the leadership team, ensuring clients receive prompt, outstanding service, and meticulous attention to detail.
When Renee is not working, you’ll find her at the local CrossFit gym learning new skills as she pursues her health and fitness goals. She’s also a keen Brisbane Broncos fan and loves spending quality time with her family.

With quite a diverse background including time in the military and within the AFL industry, Steve joined Be Challenged in September 2024, bringing a wealth of experience in client engagement and relationship management.

With quite a diverse background including time in the military and within the AFL industry, Steve joined Be Challenged in September 2024, bringing a wealth of experience in client engagement and relationship management. His ability to connect with people from all walks of life paired with a strategic mindset allows him to create meaningful partnerships and add value to his clients. With a history in the events industry and an extensive network, Steve drives many of Be Challenged’s venue partnerships within Victoria and his native South Australia.

Steve values authenticity and takes a people-first approach to his work. He focuses on building trust, understanding client needs, and delivering experiences that bring teams together in a meaningful way.

Outside of work, Steve loves his music and exploring Melbourne’s record stores in search of rare finds. A passionate Adelaide Crows supporter, he’s always up for a football chat or an afternoon at the MCG. He also has a knack for ticking off bucket list experiences, including seeing Blur at Wembley Stadium on his birthday, and witnessing Australia vs England in the fourth Ashes Test at Lord’s in 2023.

Moving to Australia 10 years ago Sophie has embraced each and every opportunity presented to her. Outside of her role as Senior Program Consultant at Be Challenged you’ll likely find Sophie post ocean swim or pilates class, sipping a ‘dirty-chai’ at a favourite local beachside spot, with her ‘sidekick’ spoodle, Humphrey. Sophie loves spending time on the Gold Coast with friends and family as well as travelling the world and experiencing different cultures.

Jo, originally from Edinburgh, has made Melbourne her home for 10 years—keeping her Scottish accent intact!

At Be Challenged, Jo blends her playful personality and her love for personal growth & wellbeing, allowing her to bring both fun and depth to her role. A core strength of Jo’s is her ability to gauge her audience and instantly tailor her delivery, to ensure everyone feels engaged and inspired.

Jo finds great joy in delivering Be Challenged programs that inspire adults and teenagers to tap into their playful side — all while developing new skills to enhance team performance.

Outside work, you can find Jo at the gym, scuba-diving, reading a good book, exploring Melbourne’s latest dining hotspots, or planning her next travel adventure… as she loves travelling the world and experiencing different cultures!

Robert Arcari

Rob is one of Be Challenged’s sought-after facilitators in VIC, drawing on his extensive teaching and musical background to ensure all his team events are memorable and effective for both the client and the participants.

Rob is one of Be Challenged’s sought-after facilitators in VIC, drawing on his extensive teaching and musical background to ensure all his team events are memorable and effective for both the client and the participants. Rob is originally from the UK, where he completed a Degree in Music Production and started his career working on various stage shows before moving on to teaching percussion in schools throughout the UK. This in turn led to performing and facilitating workshops in the corporate team building arena, where Rob discovered he could combine his love of teaching and his passion for music.

Upon moving to Australia in 2013, Rob sought out Be Challenged wanting to work with the leading Team Building company in Australia, and was particularly impressed with the high level of professionalism and the diverse range of programs on offer. Rob is an experienced facilitator and performer who specialises in drumming and other musical team events. Through Rob’s vast musical career and experience (supporting Mumford and Sons on tour, performing in the STOMP! London West End Show as well as studying music in Cuba and Brazil) he brings a different perspective to the corporate world and gives the participants the opportunity to see things in a different light.

As you might have guessed, outside of work Rob freely indulges his love of music - he can be found playing any and all of the drums, buying records or out at a gig. Rob is also keen on staying active and fit and loves to cook and entertain friends.

Adam Fahey

Originally from Queanbeyan, NSW (just outside of Canberra) Adam re-located to the Gold Coast in January 2020 for a lifestyle change. Adam comes from a sporting family and has an active family with 6 children.

Adam has a background in various education roles in many settings such as Juvenile Detention, Primary Schools, and High Schools. In addition to this Adam has been coaching rugby for over 25 years.
Adam loves seeing people grow, learn and focus on their strengths and saw Be Challenged as the perfect opportunity to combine a love of both education and coaching.

In Adam's free time you can find him down at the beach spending time with his family and being apart of their life journey.

A recent graduate of an Events Management degree, Georgia relished her contributions in the Not for Profit sector as part of this study.

A recent graduate of an Events Management degree, Georgia relished her contributions in the Not for Profit sector as part of this study. Specifically, she valued her experience with the Peace of Mind Foundation, in the creation of a virtual fundraising event which raised funds for brain cancer patients and their carers. Georgia also worked with Glebe Youth Service to support disadvantaged youth in Glebe. As part of a team of students, Georgia created a revenue diversification plan for GYS, providing them with ways to raise funds through multiple different avenues integrating their needs and values.

Georgia has had valuable experience in the hospitality sector over the past 7 years, particularly in relation to the management of cross functional teams.

These experiences have given Georgia a strong sense of the capacity of teams to achieve extraordinary things. After just a few days with Be Challenged, Georgia commented on how her work at Be Challenged enables her to be part of something which is enriching and enhancing to others, and is therefore very rewarding.

Originally from the UK, her passion for connecting with others has taken her across the globe, orchestrating seamless events for businesses ranging from startups to global enterprises.

From running her own event company to leading corporate programs across a variety of industries, Hannah is recognized for her collaborative approach, genuine relationships, and a consistent track record of flawless execution. Her background in Sport Science and competitive edge—as a five-time club golf champion—fuel her drive for high-performance outcomes.

Now based in Australia and a proud mum of two, Hannah combines professionalism with warmth, ensuring each event she delivers is impactful, engaging, and truly unforgettable.

With over sixteen years in the education industry, facilitation comes naturally to James.

With over sixteen years in the education industry, facilitation comes naturally to James. His relational and engaging approach towards facilitation has been honed in the classroom, as well through a range of leadership positions that required nuanced communication skills for a wide range of stakeholders. As a father of three young girls, nothing brings him more joy than witnessing their happiness during their favourite activities.

James is known for his passion for wellbeing, and this shines through when facilitating. His knowledge and interest in the Positive Psychology model allows him to foster happiness and emotional wellness which can enhance our clients learning and development.

Natalie Trajcevski

Natalie was drawn to work with the Be Challenged team after having partnered with Be Challenged in her previous roles and witnessing the value of our programs for her colleagues and clients.

Natalie was drawn to work with the Be Challenged team after having partnered with Be Challenged in her previous roles after witnessing the value of our programs for her colleagues and clients. She felt she aligned with our values and the passion we have for bringing joy, learning and growth to participants of our programs and workshops.

In her spare time, Natalie maintains her passionate approach to all that she does. She is an avid Dragon Boater and has represented Australia in this sport on five occasions. Natalie is also a mother to her two daughters and the proud owner of a gorgeous and much loved bird.

We are absolutely thrilled to have Natalie on our team, and are equally delighted that she has referred to her initial days with us as feeling like she had walked into a group of friends, all of whom were welcoming and inclusive.

Carly Halliday

Carly is a professional and talented Event Director and Facilitator, with nearly 7 years’ experience at Be Challenged, which includes helping to set up and run the Be Challenged Melbourne Office.

Carly is a professional and talented Event Director and Facilitator, with nearly 7 years’ experience at Be Challenged, which includes helping to set up and run the Be Challenged Melbourne Office. Carly loves the energy at Be Challenged events and how it stimulates change in the clients organisation and participants. One of the most rewarding aspects of Carly’s role is witnessing how the behaviours demonstrated throughout the team building program allow participants to get to know each other on a deeper level as well as seeing the specific learning outcomes being recognised and applied directly into the workplace.

Carly’s skills in event management, operations, facilitation and presenting come from her diverse background which includes 7 years as a highly qualified personal trainer in addition to extensive sales and marketing experience in organisations such as Nova Entertainment, Smith & Nephew and UTS. Carly also has a Bachelor of Management in Sport and Exercise Science from University of Technology, Sydney. Some highlights at Be Challenged so far include successfully executing 12 team events in one week for the Melbourne Office, facilitating a national roadshow for a company’s value launch as well as facilitating a 700 pax Flat Out Formula 1 program on the Gold Coast.

Carly is a huge lover of animals, in particular her rescue pooch, Nevada and her race horse, Frank. She loves to travel the world, enjoys the outdoors, being active and sports of any kind although of course now living in Melbourne she has not been able to escape AFL, which has become her favourite game to watch! What most people don’t know is that Carly’s creative outlet is actually – arts and crafts. Anything from painting murals on walls, and canvas art, to decorative party pieces.

Aaron is married to his beautiful wife Sarah and has two children Aaliyah and Brodie which are his pride and joy. When Aaron isn’t out visiting clients in Western Australia, he is talking anything and everything related to AFL and AFL Fantasy. Don’t hold it against him, but he is a die hard Collingwood Magpies fan.

Known for her authentic and dynamic style, Hayley ensures every program is engaging, outcomes-driven, and aligned to organisational objectives.
