Oliver’s passion has always been team development. Completing a Bachelor of Arts in Sport and Exercise management, as well as a Bachelor of Business, at the University of Technology, Sydney, Oliver has both the understanding of what makes a business successful, as well as the psychology and dynamics within team-based environments.
During the years since acquiring Be Challenged and operating as its Joint Managing Director, Oliver has focused on building the company into the ultimate resource for organisations that care about the morale, well-being and performance of their employees. He has developed Be Challenged’s range of programs and workshops to help people of all walks of life to reach their full potential.
Be Challenged now offers dozens of different business simulations and team bonding exercises that range from the creative to the strategic, to encourage people to think differently, or simply work more cohesively with their peers. Oliver’s highly consultative approach to business drives him to make Be Challenged a genuine partner for each of its clients. He engages closely with each customer to really understand the needs of the business and its team dynamics, before working with the business leaders to develop a comprehensive strategy for enhancing their teams
A real passion for being a team player has always driven Kingsley’s work. In addition to his time as a team development consultant, Kingsley has been heavily involved in rugby; including a professional stint as a rugby player in NSW and Italy, as well as coaching local suburban teams. Knowing the importance of teamwork in sport, and the results achieved when a team is united with each player doing their role to the best of their ability, has helped Kingsley develop and execute business simulations that transforms teams. Kingsley takes the time to understand the needs of each individual client and works closely with them to develop programs that will generate the desired results. Whether the event is outdoors or indoors, active or creative, much of Be Challenged’s success and repeat business can be attributed to Kingsley’s tireless creativity, attention to detail and ability to understand what is required
Simon had an extensive and successful sporting upbringing which taught him the value of team work from an early age. Simon further explored his sporting passion with an Advanced Diploma in Sports Management while also running his own Personal Training business. From this experience Simon began to see the need and clear benefits of hands-on, interactive and stimulating team programs in the workplace. After 4 years of managing a team building company Simon was hooked and was passionate about getting this important team engagement message out to corporate Australia. To do this he wanted to be working with the leading team building company in Australia, a company with a global network and a clear vision of growth - enter Be Challenged.
Since Simon has joined the Be Challenged team he has developed extremely strong, long-term relationships with not only clients but also venues and suppliers all over QLD. He loves a chat and enjoys nothing better than listening to his clients to learn what they are currently doing in the workplace, finding out if their team is functioning effectively and understanding what barriers exist to prevent full team cohesion and success. Simon wants to take the team development of his clients to the next level-ensuring effective, fun and cohesive workplaces all over Australia
Like most of the Be Challenged team, Simon loves the outdoors. Off-duty you will most likely find him on the beach in his boardies with his gorgeous little family or sneaking in a quick session at the gym.
In her down time, Lisa enjoys bushwalking with her husband and two dogs, as well as spending quality time with her two children and extended family.
Mark’s role as National Product Specialist is to challenge the status quo and push the boundaries on what is possible with our programs and events. Ensuring that all Be Challenged programs are not only designed and run seamlessly but meet the client’s brief no matter how creative or specific that might be. Mark’s passion, apart from Seinfeld, is to always find a way to exceed the client’s expectations and make the program relevant to them. In particular Mark is the recognised Go Team guru in Australia and by our global partners, taking this program to a level we never imagined and providing clients with unique tailored content for their teams.
Mark is cool, calm and collected with a love for anything active in or around the ocean - snorkeling, paddling in his surf ski, sailing- you name it. On top of this Mark is also an avid sportsman and regularly plays tennis, touch football, basketball and runs. His favourite team is the New England Patriots.
Vanessa is passionate about building trust and establishing rapport with her clients. From initial client meetings to the completion of an event, her goal is to ensure each detail has been taken care of and that the process is stress free and fun. Vanessa loves the energising buzz of interacting with all Be Challenged team members and is acutely aware of the impact workplace culture has on team effectiveness and staff personal growth. She is committed to bringing this commitment, energy and positivity to every Be Challenged event.
Flexible and adaptive in her approach, Vanessa is adept at ensuring delivery of Be Challenged programs is bespoke to the needs of the client. She thrives on a brief which poses a challenge and calls for some creativity! Whether facilitating a 900 pax “Orchestrate” program or a Flat Out Afloat program on Hamilton Island, Vanessa is capable of energising participants to challenge themselves, and be reminded of their personal strengths while having fun.
When she isn’t immersed in her role as Head of Events at Be Challenged, Vanessa loves the beach and outdoor activities. She is a keen scuba diver and loves hiking, spending time with her friends, family and her puppy.
A strong believer in experiential education, Norm works hard to ensure every client achieves their team objectives and participants walk away with valuable learnings on the power of effective team work and leadership. A highly regarded and requested facilitator, Norm has the ability of developing trust and rapport with teams quickly while laying a platform for honest and reflective conversations that bring out the best in people.
Norm also dedicates a lot of this personal time to giving back to the community and has held various volunteer roles within Surf Life Saving Australia, including Vice President, surf sports official, patrol captain, honorary beach inspector, surf boat advisory panel, Surf Boat Captain and Touring Team Manager to name a few.
It’s not all work though, Norm is a keen Surf Boat Rower and has had success in World Championships as well as multiple National, State and Local Championships. Norm’s aim in life is to be 100% engaged, fulfilled and enjoy all aspects of life - both work and play.
Results driven, dedicated, and hardworking, Elise is responsible for supporting the events team in ensuring our team building programs execute flawlessly and deliver on client expectations, messaging, and key outcomes.
When she is not work on Be Challenged events, Elise enjoys spending time with her cat 'Skittles' and binge watching TV shows. She is also a fan of exploring new cuisines and trying new restaurants around Melbourne.
Sue is results driven with a strong work ethic and attention to detail but also enjoys a laugh. She was looking to join a dynamic team environment in a fun business that was growing fast- Be Challenged was the perfect fit.
Outside of work Sue enjoys going to the gym as well as catching up with friends and family over long leisurely lunches around different parts of Sydney (justified by the gym visits). She is happy if her weekends include music, movies and reading a good book- sounds like heaven!
Drawing on her experience, Kate’s role is to support the Sales & Marketing teams within the business, providing administrative assistance and exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
When Kate’s out of the office, she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, and likes to keep things simple.
Dedicated, hardworking and always striving to achieve goals, Renee is responsible for supporting the Client Relationship Managers with ensuring clients receive prompt and outstanding service and attention to detail.
When Renee is not working, you will find her at the local CrossFit gym learning new skills to achieve her health and fitness goals. Renee is also a keen Brisbane Broncos fan, and enjoys spending quality time with family.
Since joining Be Challenged in 2019, Ben has developed strong, long-term relationships with both his clients and Be Challenged’s Victorian-based venues.
When Ben is not working with clients to develop their team building initiatives, you will find him on the turntables as a DJ at local festivals or spending quality time with his family.
Sophie’s genuine, warm and personable manner paired with her exceptional attention-to-detail and solution-focused approach, have seen her build a successful career and lasting client relationships. Sophie is forward-thinking, analytical and proactive in her approach, ensuring no detail of your event is overlooked.
Moving to Australia 10 years ago Sophie has embraced each and every opportunity presented to her. Outside of her role as Event Manager at Be Challenged you’ll likely find Sophie post ocean swim or pilates class, sipping a ‘dirty-chai’ at a favourite local beachside spot, with her ‘sidekick’ spoodle, Humphrey. Sophie loves spending time on the Gold Coast with friends and family as well as travelling the world and experiencing different cultures.
Beyond work, you can find Lina on the soccer field bringing the same teamwork and dedication; or travelling to fuel an adventurous spirit and goal of exploring every continent before she turns 30.
Thriving in collaborative environments, Michelle is passionate about developing a strong foundation for working with businesses and their teams to implement team-building strategies and solutions. Moving to Australia from New Zealand in 2002, Sydney has become her home, but she still strongly supports the All Blacks at every opportunity.
Outside of work, Michelle enjoys all elements of music, travel, and fitness, and the importance of connection with family and friends and creating new experiences while working on her personal goals.
Ross absolutely loves his clients and looks to create not only memorable events but also lasting relationships over time.
Outside of work, Ross loves spending time with his family and friends playing golf, down at the beach or watching the mighty Cronulla Sharks.
Upon moving to Australia 5 years ago, Rob sought out Be Challenged wanting to work with the leading Team Building company in Australia, and was particularly impressed with the high level of professionalism and the diverse range of programs on offer. Rob is an experienced facilitator and performer who specialises in drumming and other musical team events. Through Rob’s vast musical career and experience (supporting Mumford and Sons on tour, performing in the STOMP! London West End Show as well as studying music in Cuba and Brazil) he brings a different perspective to the corporate world and gives the participants the opportunity to see things in a different light.
As you might have guessed, outside of work Rob freely indulges his love of music - he can be found playing any and all of the drums, buying records or out at a gig. Rob is also keen on staying active and fit and loves to cook and entertain friends.
Adam has a background in various education roles in many settings such as Juvenile Detention, Primary Schools, and High Schools. In addition to this Adam has been coaching rugby for over 25 years.
Adam loves seeing people grow, learn and focus on their strengths and saw Be Challenged as the perfect opportunity to combine a love of both education and coaching.
In Adams’s free time you can find him down at the beach spending time with his family and being apart of their life journey.
Having recently completed a Dual Diploma of Business, Leadership & Management, this makes Keiran a perfect addition to the Be Challenged team.
Keiran is passionate about team work and fostering great workplace culture.
When Keiran is not prepping or facilitating programs, you will find him watching or playing AFL, or listening to his favourite podcasts.
What excited Renato about joining Be Challenged is our commitment to authenticity, playfulness, passion and innovation. Renato resonated deeply with these values and believe they align perfectly with his own.
Renato is keen to get in and start contributing his skills and experiences to help create memorable and impactful experiences for the clients. He is looking forward to combining his professional expertise with personal passion in a dynamic and fulfilling way.
When Renato is not busy prepping or facilitating programs, you will find him playing soccer, surfing, hitting the gym or competing in triathlons.
Having started his professional career at Disneyworld in the Orlando FL, Jamie has gone on to work in Stage Production, Live Entertainment and Event Styling.
When Jamie is not at work, you’ll find him binge watching Survivor, mastering Unreal Engine and playing with his fur child.
Rohan enjoys the bustle and team environment at Be Challenged, working as the NSW event support.
In his spare time Rohan loves spending time with his two daughters and playing guitar.
Through his studies of a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) and Advanced Diploma of Sports Marketing, Marcus furthered his theoretical knowledge on team development, while playing and coaching in professional team environments around the world provided him with the practical tools to nurture strong and effective team work.
Outside of work Marcus is sports mad and enjoys nothing better than watching or participating in a wide range of sports. He is an avid tennis player as well as touch rugby player. He also loves hanging out with his beautiful wife and young daughter on the Northern Beaches.
James is known for his passion for wellbeing, and this shines through when facilitating. His knowledge and interest in the Positive Psychology model allows him to foster happiness and emotional wellness which can enhance our clients learning and development.
The team environment at Be Challenged was a major drawing point for Kai when looking for a career.
Kai had no hesitation accepting a role with Be Challenged as he aligns with company values and has a great passion for helping others become more connected.
Kai has a passion for cricket and made the move to Sydney to continue chasing his dreams.
Carly’s skills in event management, operations, facilitation and presenting come from her diverse background which includes 7 years as a highly qualified personal trainer in addition to extensive sales and marketing experience in organisations such as Nova Entertainment, Smith & Nephew and UTS. Carly also has a Bachelor of Management in Sport and Exercise Science from University of Technology, Sydney. Some highlights at Be Challenged so far include successfully executing 12 team events in one week for the Melbourne Office, facilitating a national roadshow for a company’s value launch as well as facilitating a 700 pax Flat Out Formula 1 program on the Gold Coast.
Carly is a huge lover of animals, in particular her rescue pooch, Nevada and her race horse, Frank. She loves to travel the world, enjoys the outdoors, being active and sports of any kind although of course now living in Melbourne she has not been able to escape AFL, which has become her favourite game to watch! What most people don’t know is that Carly’s creative outlet is actually – arts and crafts. Anything from painting murals on walls, and canvas art, to decorative party pieces.
Aaron has a passion for connecting with new people and also creating a good environment for all employees.
Aaron is married to his beautiful wife Sarah and has two children Aaliyah and Brodie which are his pride and joy. When Aaron isn’t out visiting clients in Western Australia, he is talking anything and everything related to AFL and AFL Fantasy. Don’t hold it against him, but he is a die hard Collingwood Magpies fan.
Georgia has had valuable experience in the hospitality sector over the past 7 years, particularly in relation to the management of cross functional teams.
These experiences have given Georgia a strong sense of the capacity of teams to achieve extraordinary things. After just a few days with Be Challenged, Georgia commented on how her work at Be Challenged enables her to be part of something which is enriching and enhancing to others, and is therefore very rewarding.
In her spare time, Natalie maintains her passionate approach to all that she does. She is an avid Dragon Boater and has represented Australia in this sport on five occasions. Natalie is also a mother to her two daughters and the proud owner of a gorgeous and much loved bird.
We are absolutely thrilled to have Natalie on our team, and are equally delighted that she has referred to her initial days with us as feeling like she had walked into a group of friends, all of whom were welcoming and inclusive.
At Be Challenged, Jo blends her playful personality and her love for personal growth & wellbeing, allowing her to bring both fun and depth to her role. A core strength of Jo’s is her ability to gauge her audience and instantly tailor her delivery, to ensure everyone feels engaged and inspired.
Jo finds great joy in delivering Be Challenged programs that inspire adults and teenagers to tap into their playful side — all while developing new skills to enhance team performance.
Outside work, you can find Jo at the gym, scuba-diving, reading a good book, exploring Melbourne’s latest dining hotspots, or planning her next travel adventure… as she loves travelling the world and experiencing different cultures!
People have always been at the centre of Michael’s work. His experience over almost 30 years has incorporated business, management, coaching and facilitation, and sales and customer service. Through this experience he has acquired a deeper understanding of human behaviour and performance, and what drives success.
Michael has held a management role with a global organisation, where he coached and trained business owners and their teams. During this time, he honed his skillset for leading and developing people, which gives him invaluable insight into building successful teams within businesses.
As a facilitator Michael loves working with groups and seeing people come together and work collectively and cohesively as a team. He believes that interacting while having fun enhances creativity and allows people to open up, connect better and build stronger relationships.
