In 2011, Oliver Sheer and business partner, Kingsley Seale, purchased Be Challenged. Why make the venture? They realised that in so many organisations the focus on people was just not there. The most critical resource and investment for any organisation is its people, and in Be Challenged Sheer found a unique opportunity to bring people together and achieve meaningful results for clients.
Oliver has focused his career around team development. Completing a Bachelor of Arts in Sport and Exercise management, as well as a Bachelor of Business, at the University of Technology, Sydney, Oliver has both the understanding of what makes businesses tick, and the psychology and dynamics within team-based environments. Basically, he specialises in getting people to work at their peak within a team, while in competitive environments.
During the years since acquiring Be Challenged and operating as its Managing Director, Sheer has focused on building the company into the ultimate resource for organisations that care about the morale, well-being and performance of their employees. He has built Be Challenged’s range of programs and workshops to help people of all walks of life to reach their full potential. Be Challenged now offers businesses dozens of different business simulations and team bonding exercises that range from the creative to the strategic, to encourage people to think differently, or simply work more cohesively with their peers. Sheer’s highly consultative approach to business drives him to make Be Challenged a genuine partner for each of its clients. He engages closely with each customer to really understand the needs of the business and its team dynamics, before working with the business leaders to develop a comprehensive strategy for enhancing that businesses teams.
